JSC “Interregional Distribution Grid Company of Urals”
Interregional Distribution Grid Company (IDGC) of Urals (IDGC Urals) operates electricity distribution in Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Perm regions. It includes three branches (Sverdlovenergo, Chelyabenergo and Permenergo) and two dependent profile subsidiaries (Kurganenergo and EESK). Permenergo is one of the first discos to be transferred to regulatory asset base (RAB) regulation.
IDGC Urals was established in 2005. As of end September 2008, the total length of its power network was 170,000 km and its total capacity was over 35,000 MVA. The company accounts for around 70% of end-user demand in the region in which it operates.
IDGC Urals shares are included on the RTS and MICEX indexes. As of end 2008, the company had a R1 bln bond in circulation.
