For the last three years, Western passenger car producers and truck manufacturers have been pouring into Russia, where booming economic growth for the last six consecutive years has created a market with bumper sales and promising growth prospects. Almost every foreign player has chosen its own way to make equity investments in the country’s auto sector – from JVs and assembly plants to equity partnerships and basic collaboration agreements.
