Chief Executive Officer, Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies
Anatoly Chubais has headed the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies (RUSNANO) since September 2008. Prior to that, he spent 10 years as CEO of UES.
In 1990-91, Mr Chubais was the First Deputy Chairman of the Leningrad Soviet’s executive committee, and then became Chairman of the Federal Property Management Committee. Over 1992-96, he worked in the government, dealing with economic and financial issues. Since 1993, Mr Chubais has been a State Duma Representative. He managed international financial organizations from Russia. In 1996, he headed the Presidential Administration and took the post of Finance Minister in 1997. From there, Mr Chubais moved on to be Deputy Prime Minister. In 1998, he was a Special Deputy to the President, dealing with international financial organizations. In 2000, he was named Co-Chairman of the EU-Russia Industrialists’ Roundtable, a post which he continues to hold.
Mr Chubais is a graduate of the Leningrad Economic Engineering Institute.
